The Boyd County Sheriff's office is currently accepting applications for full-time and part-time Deputy Sheriff positions.

Nebraska law enforcement certification is preferred, but all applicants will be considered. Applicants must be 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, no felony, or serious misdemeanor convictions, be of good moral character and good physical condition. Uncertified applicants must be able to meet the standards of entry to the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center.

Application process will involve submitting an application, background investigation, psychological evaluation, and interview process.

Employees are paid monthly and will be on a 6-12 month probation. Pay based on experience, insurance stipend offered. All duty equipment will be provided including a take home vehicle and cell phone.

You can pick up an application at the Sheriff's office Monday - Friday 9 A.M-4 P.M. or you can request an application by e-mailing boydco.sheriffsoffice@gmail.com.
