VCHS recently hosted Children’s Hospital & Medical Center for a training focused on Pediatric Trauma and Stabilization Techniques and Pediatric Shock. This educational opportunity was available to local Physicians, Advance Practice Providers, Nurses and EMS.
The course utilized case studies to educate on pain interventions, airway stabilization, shock states and assessment and stabilization of pediatric trauma patients. There were 90 area professionals in attendance for this training.
“We are fortunate to have Children’s provide us with the latest research and treatments for the pediatric patient population.” says VCHS EMS Manager Kelsey Daake, RN.” We had great attendance and are so happy that everyone pulls together to support progressive healthcare in our community.”
