There is a hidden little gem just north of Merriman NE in Cherry County. The Bowring Ranch State Historical Park, located on the Arthur Bowring Ranch and has over 7,200 acres of history as a working cattle ranch. Stop and see the land, sod house and Visitor Center. Well worth the drive.
