Boyd County is in a Burn Ban

Effective Immediately

-Boyd County is in a Burn Ban-

- NO OPEN BURNING

- NO FIRE PITS

- NO RECREATIONAL BURNING

- NO BURN PERMITS

- EXTREME CAUTION WITH FIREWORKS

Due to recent high temperatures and very dry conditions no burn permits will be issued, no open burns, no fire pits, and no recreational burning. Please use extreme caution when using fireworks.

Fires caused by fireworks or any other ignition source will be difficult to control due to extreme temperatures, wind, and low humidity. 

Citations will be issued to ALL violations and individuals could be held liable for any damages incurred due to a violation.
