Boyd County is in a Burn Ban
- NO OPEN BURNING

- NO RECREATIONAL BURNING
- NO BURN PERMITS
- NO FIREWORKS
Due to continued high temperatures and very dry conditions no burn permits will be issued, no open burns, no fire pits, no recreational burning and no fireworks.
Fires caused by fireworks or any other ignition source will be difficult to control due to extreme temperatures, wind, dry conditions and low humidity.
Citations will be issued to ALL violations (unless a WRITTEN permit is issued by a fire chief) and individuals could be held liable for any damages incurred due to a violation.
