"Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over"

The Valley County Sheriff's Office participated in the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" enforcement campaign that ran from August 19 to September 5, 2022. During this time, deputies worked a total of 64 hours of overtime in addition to their regular scheduled shifts.  Thanks to a $2,250 grant provided by the Nebraska Department of Highway Safety.

During this time, deputies made a total of 69 traffic stops. Deputies issued citations for the following offenses: 6 for speeding, 1 reckless driving and 1 for no seat belt.  We had 2 arrests for driving under the influence, arrested 1 fugitive from justice and 3 felony arrest were made.  The Valley County Sheriff's Office also conducted two injury accident investigations during this time period.

The Valley County Sheriff's Office would like to give a big thanks to the Nebraska Department of Highway Safety for this grant.
