VCHS is pleased to announce that this years’ Service Excellence Award Recipient is Kate Morse, RN.
Kate serves as the Infection Control and Education Nurse at VCHS. Since 2014, Kate not only began learning her role for the department, but jumped into assisting in Surgery and Cardiac Rehab. With over 20 years of nursing and labor and delivery experience, she brought a wealth of knowledge to our facility. Kate is a life-long learner and has furthered her education by getting her Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) credential. She is also a recent graduate of the Nebraska Hospital Association’s Quality Residency Program.
Kate is a fantastic nurse and care giver, providing her patients the very best in care. Her leadership and commitment contribute to a strong facility-wide Infection Prevention program and helps to keep our patients and staff safe and healthy.Kate’s life career has focused on the health and well-being of our community. She is a knowledgeable and compassionate care giver and stays up-to-date on the most recent developments in the Infection Prevention, Antibiotic Stewardship, and certification requirements for BLS / CPR.
